Super Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. boiling water
    1 bar German chocolate
    1/4 c. warm water
    1 pkg. yeast
    1 c. shortening
    2 c. sugar
    4 egg yolks
    2 1/2 c. self-rising flour
    4 Tbsp. cocoa
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. vanilla
    4 egg whites, beaten stiff
Preparation
    Melt chocolate
    in
    hot water;
    set aside to cool.
    Mix yeast and
    warm
    water.
    Cream shortening and sugar well.
    Add egg yolks,
    one
    at
    a time, beating after each.
    Add vanilla, chocolate and yeast mixture.
    Sift
    flour with salt and cocoa. Stir soda into
    buttermilk.
    Add alternately flour and buttermilk, beating well after
    each
    addition.
    Fold in egg whites. Bake in 4 layers at
    350\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
    Put filling between layers and frost.
