Butternut Squash Puree - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 Tbsp. unmelted butter
    1 onion, peeled and thinly sliced
    1 butternut squash, peeled and cut into chunks
    1 white turnip, peeled and sliced
    2 ripe pears, peeled, cored and chunked
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Melt butter in heavy sauce pan; saute onion until soft.
    Add squash, turnip and pears and simmer, covered, until soft (about 15 minutes).
    Add water if needed.
    Puree in food processor until smooth.
    Season to taste.
