Ingredients

1 c. sugar
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
3 egg yolks
2 c. milk
1 Tbsp. vanilla
1 pkg. coconut
pinch of salt
Preparation

Cook pie crust and let cool.
Sift together sugar and cornstarch.
Take egg yolks and 1/4 cup milk and beat well, add rest of milk.
Add sugar to milk mixture and cook stirring constantly until thick.
Add coconut and vanilla, stir well and place in refrigerator until cool.
Place in pie shell and top with beaten egg whites (12 tablespoons sugar to egg whites) or Cool Whip.
Makes 1 pie.
