Shar'S Buttermilk Roll Dough - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 pkg. dry yeast
1/2 c. warm water (110~)
1 c. sugar
3 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. salt
8 c. flour
3 eggs, slightly beaten
1/2 c. shortening
Preparation

Soften the yeast in warm water.
In a large pot, combine buttermilk, sugar, salt and shortening.
Bring to boil, turn down and let shortening melt.
Remove from heat; cool to lukewarm.
Add 2 cups flour and beat well.
Beat in yeast and eggs.
Gradually add remaining flour to form soft dough.
Mix well with hands. Knead for 10 minutes on lightly floured surface.
Place in greased bowl.
Cover with towel and let rise to double, 2 1/2 hours. Punch down.
Knead for 5 minutes.
Roll out and cut.
Let rise until double on greased and floured sheet.
Bake at 425\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes (loaves bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes).
