Orange Nut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 sticks margarine
    2 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    3 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. soda, dissolved in buttermilk
    1 lb. candy orange slices, diced
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1 (16 oz.) pkg. dates
    1 c. flaked coconut
Preparation
    Cream sugar and butter.
    Add eggs, 1 at a time.
    Beat flour and milk alternately.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Bake in tube pan 3 1/2 hours at 250\u00b0.
    Remove from oven.
    Cool slightly and pour mixture of 1 can orange juice and 2 cups powdered sugar over cake while still in pan.
    Let stand overnight before removing from pan.
