Peanut Patties - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. canned milk
    3 c. white Karo
    2 1/2 c. white sugar
    3 c. raw peanuts
    pinch of salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. powdered sugar
    4 or 5 drops red food coloring
    2 tsp. oleo
Preparation
    Cook first five ingredients to soft ball stage (about 25 minutes).
    Remove from heat and add 2 tablespoons oleo, vanilla, powdered sugar and red food coloring.
    Stir until thickened.
    Pour into buttered pan or drop by teaspoon on waxed paper.
