Old Fashioned Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. butter or margarine
2 eggs
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
3 1/2 c. flour
2 Tbsp. milk
1 tsp. cream of tartar or 2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Cream butter and sugar; add eggs.
Blend in remaining ingredients to make stiff dough.
Thoroughly chill dough.
Roll out very thin on well floured board.
Cut as desired and place on greased cookie sheet.
May be sprinkled with cookie decorations before or after baking.
Bake at 375\u00b0 until lightly browned.
