Applesauce Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
    2 eggs, beaten
    1/2 c. milk
    1/4 c. milk
    1/4 c. margarine, melted
    3/4 c. applesauce
    1/2 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
Preparation
    Grease 12 (2 1/2-inch) muffin cups.
    In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt and brown sugar. Stir until well blended.
    In a separate bowl, mix the eggs, milk, margarine and applesauce.
    Make a well in the dry ingredients and stir in the applesauce mixture with quick strokes just until well moistened.
    Fold in the nuts.
    Spoon the batter into the muffin cups filling them 3/4 full.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
