Royal Chop Suey - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. pork (steak)
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1 Tbsp. soy sauce
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 Tbsp. flour
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 1/2 c. sliced celery
    1/2 c. finely sliced onion
    1/4 c. finely sliced green peppers
    1/2 c. water
    1 1/2 c. white rice
Preparation
    Cut pork into thin strips.
    Saute for 2 minutes in shortening. Add soy sauce, salt and sugar.
    Cook 2 more minutes.
    Add celery, onion, pepper, flour and water.
    Cook 5 minutes more.
    Serve over rice prepared as follows.
