Sausage Jambalaya - cooking recipe

Ingredients
1 lb. smoked sausage (hot and mild may be combined)
    2 medium onions, diced
    1/2 medium green pepper, diced
    1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 Tbsp. garlic salt (2 toes of diced garlic)
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
    1 Tbsp. salt
1 c. uncooked long grain rice
    1 1/2 c. hot water
Preparation
Cut sausage into 1/2-inch slices and brown in heavy 3-quart saucepan or Dutch oven. Add diced onions and green peppers. Saute until onion is clear. Add remaining spices and stir well. Add the hot water and bring to a boil. Add the uncooked rice and stir once to mix ingredients. Cover and cook over a low heat for 20 to 25 minutes until rice is tender and fluffy. (If mild sausage only is used, add a dash of Louisiana hot sauce or 1/4 teaspoon red pepper.) Serve with a green salad and favorite beverage.
