Asparagus Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. Cheddar cheese, shredded
    4 c. soda crackers, crushed
    1 c. butter, melted
    4 (14 1/2 oz.) cans cut asparagus
    2 (10 3/4 oz.) cans cream of mushroom soup
    2 c. slivered almonds
    2 c. sliced fresh mushrooms
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Mix cheese, cracker crumbs and butter. Press firmly into bottom of buttered 9 x 13-inch glass casserole. Add asparagus juice to soup (juice from 2 cans, not 4).
    Arrange asparagus over cracker crust.
    Top them with mushrooms, then pour soup mix evenly over all.
    Put on nuts.
    Bake for 30 to 45 minutes, until bubbly all over.
