Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. meal
3/4 c. flour
2 eggs
1 large onion, chopped fine
1 1/2 c. milk or enough to moisten well
1 tsp. garlic salt

Preparation

Mix ingredients together.
Set aside and let rise; do not re-stir.
Dip risings and drop into hot grease with ice tea spoon. If you let the spoon get hot in the grease, you can use over again without cleaning.
Hush puppies should turn themselves over in the grease.
