Pastry Dough - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/3 c. all-purpose flour
    1 stick (4 oz.) cold butter
    1 tsp. salt (less if salted butter is used)
    1 Tbsp. sugar (optional)
    1/4 c. ice water
Preparation
    Combine dry ingredients in food processor bowl.
    Cut butter in 2 or 3 pieces; process with cutting blade until mixed.
    With machine running, very slowly pour in the ice water through feed tube.
    A ball of dough will form in 20 to 50 seconds.
    If more dough is needed, repeat directions.
    Do not double recipe.
    Chill dough for 30 minutes before rolling out.
