Banana Spice Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 c. sifted cake flour
1 2/3 c. sugar
1 1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/8 tsp. cloves
2/3 c. shortening
2/3 c. buttermilk
1 1/4 c. mashed bananas
2 eggs (unbeaten)
Preparation

Sift dry ingredients into a large bowl.
Add shortening, buttermilk and bananas; mix until flour is dampened.
Beat at low speed for 2 minutes.
Add eggs and beat 1 minute.
Turn into greased and floured pans.
Bake at 350\u00b0 in 2 pans (8 or 9-inch) or a 9 x 13-inch pan for 30 to 35 minutes.
Cool and ice with Quick Caramel Frosting.
