Crispy Chocolate-Peanut Butter Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. light corn syrup
    1/4 c. packed brown sugar
    1 c. peanut butter
    2 c. crispy rice cereal
    1 c. cornflakes, slightly crushed
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces (1 c.)
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    In a 2-quart saucepan, combine corn syrup, brown sugar and dash of salt.
    Cook and stir until mixture comes to a full boil. Stir in peanut butter.
    Remove from heat.
    Stir in cereals, chocolate pieces and vanilla.
    Press into an ungreased 9 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
    Chill 1 hour.
    Cut into bars.
    Makes 36.
