Okra And Tomatoes Creole Style - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 strips bacon
1 c. diced onion
2 c. okra, washed and cut in 1/2-inch rounds
2 c. tomatoes, peeled and cut in quarters
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/3 c. ketchup
Preparation

Fry bacon.
Drain and crumble.
Cook onion, stirring frequently, until soft.
Add okra and cover.
Stir occasionally until almost tender or until mixture is dry.
Add tomatoes, salt and pepper.
Mash tomatoes with a slotted spoon.
Cook over medium heat until tender.
Then add ketchup and bacon, stirring well. Adjust seasoning to taste.
