Buttercups (Tarts) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 to 10 oz. bottled cherries, drained
    1/4 c. utter or margarine
    1/4 c. light corn syrup
    1 to 1 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 c. sugar
    3 eggs, beaten
    dash of salt
    1 tsp. almond extract
Preparation
    Quarter cherries.
    Add butter, light corn syrup, sugar, salt and beaten eggs to top of double boiler.
    Add enough cornstarch to thicken mixture.
    Add cherries and almond extract.
