Pickle Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    half-runners or a firm bean
    1/2 c. salt
    1/2 gal. water
Preparation
    Bring beans to a boil and cook 1/2 hour.
    Drain off hot water and rinse in cold water.
    Cool beans and press firmly into jars. Make brine of salt and 1/2 gallon water and pour over beans. Tighten lids after 10 days.
