Potato Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. onion
    1/4 c. butter
    1/4 c. flour
    2 1/2 c. milk
    5 large potatoes, sliced with skins
    1 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    3/4 c. shredded American cheese
Preparation
    Saute onion in butter.
    Cool slightly; stir in flour.
    Add milk a little at a time.
    Stir to mix well.
    Pour over potatoes.
    Add salt and pepper, then cheese.
    Cover with lid or foil.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
    Uncover and continue to bake for 30 minutes.
