Bread And Butter Pickles(Squash) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 qt. yellow squash (not peeled), sliced (not the real large ones)
    4 large onions, sliced
    3 red sweet peppers, sliced lengthwise
    3 c. sugar
    3 c. vinegar
    1 tsp. turmeric
    3 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. dry mustard
    4 tsp. mustard seed
Preparation
    Heat to boiling, but do not boil.
    Put in cleaned hot jars.
    If you like, use cucumbers instead of squash.
    Very good.
