Double Chocolate Chewy Pecan Brownies - cooking recipe

1/4 lb. butter
2 (2 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate
2 c. firmly packed dark brown sugar
2 eggs
1 c. flour (unsifted)
1 tsp. vanilla
6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate bits
1 1/2 c. pecan halves
Preparation

Melt butter and chocolate over low heat.
Beat brown sugar and eggs together until light in color.
Add melted chocolate-butter mixture and stir thoroughly.
Add vanilla, then beat in flour. Stir in chocolate bits and pecan halves.
