Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
4 eggs, separated
3 c. flour
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
3 tsp. baking powder
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar together. Add egg yolks 1 at a time. Beat egg whites until very stiff (set aside). Combine flour and baking powder. Add flour mixture with milk and mix well. Add vanilla and nutmeg. Fold in egg whites with rubber spatula gently but firmly. Pour into a greased 9 x 5 loaf pan. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes or until cake is done.
