Beenie-Weenies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 loaf French bread, sliced longways
    1 large onion, chopped
    2 cans pork and beans
    6 to 8 hot dogs (not quite 1 whole pkg.), sliced thinly
    barbecue sauce (Bull's-Eye is best)
    shredded Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Saute onion and hot dogs in butter (not margarine) until brown.
    Add beans and barbecue sauce to taste.
    Lightly butter bread and sprinkle with garlic.
    Spoon bean mixture on bread and sprinkle with cheese.
    Place on cookie sheet and bake at 350\u00b0 until hot.
    Our kids favorite!!!
