Rice Casserole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. rice, washed in cold water
1 tsp. salt
3 1/2 c. boiling water
1 lb. hamburger or ground beef
1 Tbsp. butter
2 to 3 medium onions, cut fine
2 c. chopped celery
1 small can mushrooms
3 Tbsp. soy sauce
Preparation

Mix rice, salt and boiling water and let stand, covered, without stirring or boiling, while you brown the hamburger in butter, adding onions, celery, mushrooms and soy sauce.
Combine with rice.
Bake slowly, 1 hour, in covered casserole dish, 9 x 11-inch (Pyrex).
Serves 8 to 10 people.
