Caramel Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    32 light caramels
    5 Tbsp. milk
    1 c. flour
    1 c. oatmeal
    3/4 c. brown sugar
    1 tsp. soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. butter, melted
    1 c. chocolate chips or milk chocolate chips
    1/2 c. chopped pecans or other nuts
Preparation
    Melt caramels in milk in double boiler.
    Combine all other ingredients except chocolate chips and nuts.
    Press in a 9 x 13-inch pan, reserving a portion of mixture for top.
    Bake 10 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips on baked crust; pour on caramel mixture.
    Add remaining crumbs and sprinkle nuts on top.
    Bake 15 to 20 minutes at 350\u00b0 until brown. Makes 24 bars.
    Yield:
    15 bars.
