Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 lb. ground beef round
    2 c. chopped onion
    1 green pepper, coarsely chopped
    3 cloves garlic, pressed
    1 or 2 Tbsp. crushed hot red pepper
    3 Tbsp. chili powder
    2 tsp. ground cumin
    1/2 tsp. dried oregano leaves
    2 1/2 tsp. salt
    2 (1 lb.) cans pinto beans (undrained)
    2 (1 lb.) cans whole tomatoes (undrained)
    1 (12 oz.) can whole kernel corn
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
Preparation
    In large heavy
    skillet, over medium heat, saute ground beef, stirring occasionally, until red color disappears.
    Pour off fat. Add onion, green pepper, garlic, crushed red pepper, chili powder,
    cumin,
    oregano
    and
    salt;
    mix
    well.
    Cook, stirring, until onion and green pepper are tender.
    Add beans, tomatoes, corn and tomato sauce; stir to mix well, breaking up tomatoes with
    fork.
    Simmer
    slowly,
    covered
    and
    stirring occasionally, until
    thickened
    and flavors are blended, about 45 minutes.
