Homemade Ice Cream - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    8 whole eggs
    1 pt. half and half
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    1/2 gal. milk
Preparation
    Put sugar in a large bowl, beat eggs well and add to sugar, add half and half, add vanilla and blend well with a fork after each addition.
    Add about half of the milk, blend with electric mixer on low.
    Add rest of the milk, except about 1/2 cup; blend.
    Pour into freezer bucket.
    Use the balance of the milk to \"rinse\" out the bowl and add to mixture in freezer and stir good.
    Freeze according to freezer directions.
    Makes 1 gallon.
    Best to use 6 quart freezer.
    Any type fruit can be added to this basic recipe.
