Corine'S Coca-Cola Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2-3 oz. pkg. black cherry gelatin
    1 small coca-cola
    1 can crushed pineapple
    1 8 oz. carton sour cream
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 c. coconut
    1 can dark sweet cherries, pitted
Preparation
    Drain juice from cherries. Heat juice and cola, then add gelatin. Stir until gelatin is dissolved.
    Add cherries and pineapple. Take half of this mixture and pour into a mold or square baking dish and chill until congealed. Set the other half aside.
    When the first half is congealed, mix sour cream, nuts and coconut and spread on top of the congealed mixture. Pour the other half of gelatin mixture on top and chill until congealed well. Serve on bed of lettuce.
