Danish Coffee Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 yeast cake in 1/2 c. lukewarm water
    1 c. scalded milk
    1 c. shortening
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    3 eggs
    4 c. flour
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in warm water.
    Put shortening, sugar, salt and flour in large bowl.
    Mix as for pie crust.
    Beat egg yolks, milk and yeast mixture.
    Add to flour and beat well.
    Divide into 4 parts and roll thin, about 11 inches long and 10 inches wide. Spread butter, brown sugar, nuts and almond paste onto the rolled out crust.
    Fold both sides over and let rise until light.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 25 to 30 minutes.
