Glorified Gingerbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. butter or oleo
1 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
2 Tbsp. molasses
1 egg
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. ginger
Preparation

Mix butter, sugar, flour and salt with hands.
Keep 1/2 cup for the topping.
Mix rest with egg that has been beaten first and add rest of ingredients.
Beat with electric mixer.
Put in pan and put on reserved topping.
Bake in a 9 x 13-inch loaf cake pan at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes or until springs back at finger touch.
