Smoked Sausage And Bean Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium onion, finely chopped
    1 tsp. bottled minced garlic
    2 Tbsp. butter
    6 c. water
    2 c. potatoes, chopped
    16 oz. fully smoked turkey
    sausage, sliced thin
    15 oz. can red beans
    1 tsp. instant beef bouillon cubes
    2 c. shredded cabbage
    1/4 c. catsup
    3 Tbsp. vinegar
Preparation
    In a 4-quart Dutch oven, cook the onion and garlic in butter until tender, but not brown.
    Add the water, potatoes, sausage, beans and bouillon granules.
    Heat to boiling.
    Reduce heat and simmer, covered, 15 minutes.
    Add the cabbage, catsup and vinegar. Simmer, covered, 10 minutes or more.
    Makes 6 main dish servings.
