California Carrots - cooking recipe

1 lb. carrots
1 c. golden raisins
1 c. water
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
4 Tbsp. butter
2 Tbsp. lemon juice
Preparation

Pare carrots. Cut diagonally in thin slices. Combine with raisins, water and salt in a medium-size heavy saucepan.
Cover.
