Baked Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. lean stew meat
    6 medium carrots (bite size)
    1 green pepper (1 inch pieces)
    5 potatoes (bite size)
    4 medium onions (bite size)
    1 can mushrooms
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato paste
    1 large can tomatoes
    1 c. chopped celery
    1 tsp. salt
    3 Tbsp. tapioca
    1 slice bread, crumbled (optional)
Preparation
    Combine in large kettle (do not brown meat as usual in stews). Bake in oven 5 hours at 250\u00b0, 7 hours is better (but at least until done).
    Stir occasionally.
