Ingredients

1 c. cooking oil
3 eggs, beaten
2 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. pecans
1 c. canned figs, diced
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. each: soda, nutmeg, baking powder, cinnamon, allspice and vanilla
Preparation

Mix oil and sugar; add eggs and add buttermilk and flour alternately.
Mix remaining ingredients.
Bake in 2 (9-inch) pans or 11 x 9-inch pan at 375\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
