"Eggnog" - cooking recipe
Ingredients

8 eggs, separated
1/2 c. sugar
1 pt. brandy (optional)
3/4 c. rum (optional)
1 qt. milk
1 qt. heavy cream or ice cream (vanilla ice cream is the best!)
nutmeg to sprinkle on top
Preparation

Beat egg yolks until light and fluffy.
Then add sugar.
(Add brandy, then rum, if desired.)
Add milk and 3/4 of a half gallon of vanilla ice cream.
Beat egg whites until stiff and add to mixture, mixing well.
Sprinkle with nutmeg.
Better to let stand overnight.
