Jar Celery - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large stalk green celery
    2 Tbsp. olive oil
    2 Tbsp. wine vinegar
    1/4 tsp. minced garlic
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
    dash of cayenne
    1 tsp. minced parsley
    1/4 tsp. thyme leaves
    1/4 c. water
Preparation
    Trim leaves from celery; separate ribs from heart (should be 10 large ribs).
    Wash and drain ribs.
    Cut into 1/2-inch diagonal slices to make 5 cups.
    In deep 10-inch skillet, mix the remaining ingredients.
    Boil gently for 20 minutes.
    Pour into jar.
    Press down to have marinade cover celery.
    Cover and chill before serving.
    Serve as part of antipasta or salad or as a relish.
