White Coconut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 egg whites
    3 c. flour
    1 c. sweet milk
    1 3/4 c. sugar
    3/4 c. shortening
    2 tsp. Snow King baking powder
    vanilla or orange flavoring
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening until smooth.
    Sift flour and baking powder together 3 times.
    Add milk and flour alternately, stirring thoroughly.
    Lastly, fold in the stiffly beaten egg whites and flavoring.
    Bake in 3 layers in moderately hot oven 30 to 40 minutes.
