Pumpkin Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sifted flour
    1/2 c. sugar plus 1/4 tsp. sugar over each muffin
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. butter
    1 egg, beaten
    1/2 c. canned pumpkin
    1/2 c. evaporated milk
    1/2 c. raisins
Preparation
    Sift flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt together in medium bowl. Cut in butter until mixture resembles cornmeal.
    Combine egg with pumpkin and milk.
    Stir in raisins. Add egg mixture to dry ingredients, stirring just enough to mix lightly. Fill muffin tins 2/3 full. Sprinkle 1/4 teaspoon sugar over each muffin. Bake at 400\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes until done and nicely browned.
    Makes 16 muffins.
