Candied Squash Rings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 acorn squash
    1/2 c. packed brown sugar
    1/4 c. butter
    2 Tbsp. water
Preparation
    Cut squash crosswise into 1-inch thick slices; discard seeds. Arrange in a single layer in a shallow baking pan.
    Season with salt and pepper.
    Cover; bake at 350\u00b0 for about 40 minutes.
    In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, butter and water; cook and stir until bubbly.
    Spoon over squash.
    Continue baking uncovered for 15 minutes more.
    Baste often.
