Buttermilk Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. vegetable shortening
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    3 c. plain flour
    1 c. buttermilk
    6 eggs
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    2 Tbsp. flavoring (your choice)
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar until smooth.
    Add dry ingredients that have been sifted together alternately with milk.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
    Add flavoring. Bake, in a tube pan that has been greased and floured, for about 1 hour at 325\u00b0.
