Chow Chow Pickles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 gal. chopped cabbage
1/2 gal. chopped green tomatoes
1/8 qt. chopped green peppers
1/4 qt. chopped onions
2 qt. vinegar
1/2 lb. sugar
4 Tbsp. mustard
2 Tbsp. salt
2 Tbsp. turmeric
2 Tbsp. celery seed
Preparation

First Day:
Place 2 gallons cucumbers in a glass, stone or enamel vessel. Cover with 1 gallon boiling water to which 3 cups salt has been added.
