Aunt Callie'S Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 small size cucumbers
    2 small onions
    1/4 c. pickling salt (not iodized)
    2 c. cider vinegar
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. celery salt
    1/2 tsp. mustard seed
    1/2 Tbsp. turmeric
Preparation
    Wash cucumbers thoroughly and cut into 1/4-inch slices.
    Wash onions and cut into 1/8-inch slices.
    Mix all other ingredients in large bowl.
    Stir until sugar is dissolved.
    Add cucumbers and onions.
    Let set at room temperature 2 hours, then place in glass or plastic containers and refrigerate until used.
