Pralines - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1 c. milk
    3 c. chopped pecans
    1 stick margarine
    2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Caramelize 1
    cup sugar in a frying pan, then pour into large pot
    with
    remaining
    2
    cups of sugar, butter and milk. Cook until
    mixture
    forms
    a soft ball in water.
    Remove from heat and add
    vanilla and chopped pecans.
    Beat until mixture looks like fudge.
    Pour out on buttered surface and cool.
    Cut into desired size.
