Autumn Apple Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large can crushed pineapple, juice and all
    2/3 c. sugar
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. lemon Jell-O
    8 oz. cream cheese
    1 c. chopped apples (with peels on)
    1 c. chopped celery
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1 c. Cool Whip (light)
Preparation
    Boil pineapple and sugar together for 3 minutes.
    Add lemon Jell-O, dissolve well.
    Then stir in cream cheese until all melted; let cool.
    Add apples, celery, pecans and Cool Whip.
    Put in dish to congeal and put in refrigerator to set.
    Serve on lettuce leaf.
