Creole Chicken With Garlic - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 green peppers
    2 onions
    6 cloves garlic
    2 Tbsp. oil
    7 lb. cut up chicken
    salt and pepper
    1 c. drained canned tomatoes
    2 tsp. dried oregano
    1/4 tsp. cayenne
    1/2 c. white wine
Preparation
    Cut peppers into 1-inch pieces.
    Chop the onions; slice the garlic.
    In Dutch oven, heat oil.
    Salt and pepper the meat.
    Cook pieces until browned on all sides; remove meat and set aside. Lower heat.
    Add garlic, onions, peppers and 1 teaspoon salt to pan; cook for about 10 minutes, until soft.
    Raise heat.
    Add wine; cook until liquid is gone.
    Add tomatoes, oregano, cayenne and the meat.
    Reduce heat; cover and simmer until meat is tender, 45 to 60 minutes.
