Italian Cream Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 stick margarine
1/2 c. Crisco
2 c. sugar
5 egg yolks
1 tsp. vanilla
either 1 can Angel Flake coconut or 1 can crushed pineapple
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. buttermilk
5 egg whites, beaten
Preparation

Mix margarine, Crisco and sugar well.
Add egg yolks.
Sift dry ingredients together.
Mix alternately with buttermilk and vanilla.
Add coconut.
Fold in beaten egg whites.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 30 minutes.
Use 2 or 3 round cake pans.
