Divinity Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1/2 c. water
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. Karo syrup
    2 egg whites
    3/4 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Combine Karo, water, salt and sugar in a saucepan; boil to 265\u00b0.
    Beat egg whites until stiff, and gradually beat in the boiling mixture; whit until it begins to stiffen.
    Add vanilla and nuts.
    Beat again until cooled somewhat.
    Drop by tablespoon onto waxed paper smeared with margarine.
