Date Krispies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. margarine, melted
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. dates, cut fine
    1 egg, beaten
Preparation
    Mix together.
    Cook over slow heat 10 minutes, stirring constantly.
    Add 3 cups Rice Krispies and stir well.
    Spread on a 9 x 13-inch pan that has been sprinkled with powdered sugar.
    Press firmly into pan and sprinkle top with powdered sugar.
    Cut into squares.
