Cold Weather Chili - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lb. extra lean ground beef
1 large onion, chopped
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 c. green peppers, chopped
1 medium tomato, chopped
1 Tbsp. crushed red peppers
1 (40 oz.) can red kidney beans, drained and rinsed with cold water
1 (4 oz.) can green chilies or jalapeno peppers, drained
2 Tbsp. ground cumin
4 Tbsp. chili powder
1 tsp. Tabasco sauce
12 oz. tomato paste
8 oz. tomato sauce
water to desired consistency
Preparation

Lightly brown ground beef in a 5-quart pan or Dutch oven; add salt and pepper.
Add onion and green peppers and cook until soft. Add tomato sauce and paste; dilute with water to desired consistency.
Add all remaining ingredients to chili mixture. Cover and simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
Remove one cup of mixture and process in blender until smooth; pour processed mixture back into chili, stir well.
