Piccalilli Relish - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 qt. green tomatoes
1 bunch celery
2 red sweet peppers
2 sweet green peppers
2 large mild onions
1 small head cabbage
1/2 c. salt
3 c. vinegar
1 lb. brown sugar
1 tsp. mustard
1 tsp. turmeric
Preparation

Chop the vegetables; cover with salt and let stand overnight. In the morning, drain and press in a cloth to remove all liquid. Add the sugar, vinegar and spices; simmer until clear.
Seal in clean, hot jars.
